![]() ![]() ![]() Too far away to engage? Open up the quick menu, and dump power into engines to engage faster. I don't know if you can actually fly faster than 999 or if the displays just can't display speeds in 4 digits, but you can quite easily hit that cap with this afterburner and a bit of power rebalance.ģ - Rebalance your power as needed, and don't be afraid to do so frequently. The Cyclic Afterburner has a bit of lag before it hits top speed, but this is what will make it possible to disengage and successfully run from inopportune fights. Even if you do need to stay and complete an objective (like destroy a supply depot), being able to fly out of an ambush and put all of your enemies on one side of you so you can eventually turn around and pick them off one or two at a time is still invaluable. If you do happen to get ambushed while auto-piloting? It's is infinitely easier to just fly away and reengage auto-pilot than it is to risk your ship for that scraps that are low level random bounty payouts and possible dropped cargo. Seriously, outside of a mission to destroy or protect specific ships, random ship combat isn't worth the time or effort. I'd rather this not turn into a angry circle jerk if I can help it. ![]() If you have any other tips or suggestion, please share. ![]() I've said my piece in the review, so instead I figured I'd try to be a bit more constructive here. So here's some tips to those as flat out stubborn or masochistic as I am that they refuse to 'let the game win' as it were. The game is fun, but inevitably ends with massive difficulty spikes that cause massive frustration and yet I still feel strangely compelled to finish the game in spite of it's repeated sucker punches. ![]()
